What 3 Beliefs can crush your chances of success in Network Marketing?
There are 3 beliefs that can absolutely sabotage your chances of success in network marketing; fear, doubt and worry. These 3 beliefs or feelings can overwhelm you in business and paralyze you when you get on the phone with prospects. And the bad thing is, your prospects will be able to sense it, even if you pretend those feelings aren’t there.
People often worry and get stressed out when they are not enrolling new people and new customers in their businesses. Then because they haven’t enrolled anyone, they begin to doubt their abilities, making them more fearful about talking to people. Because they have fear, they don’t want to get on the phone. If they are not getting on the phone, then they are not connecting with people. If they are note connecting with people, then they are not enrolling anyone. It becomes an endless cycle.
If you are at all like this, you have to get to a point where you can move past your fears, doubt and worries. Find a way to get over that, because there are way too many people that you can help with your network marketing business.
So, how do you make the beliefs or feelings of fear, doubt and worry go away?
Success in Network Marketing begins when you:
- Develop the mindset of an entrepreneur
- Focus on “helping” your prospect, not “getting” people into your business
- Take daily action
- Have a sense of urgency
It’s so important to have the right mindset before and during your calls with your prospects. You have to develop the mindset of an entrepreneur. Spend 5-10 minutes to get your head right, before you start making your calls. These few extra minutes could easily mean the difference between getting people to look at your business and not.
Focus more on your prospects. Focus on “helping” them, not “getting” them into your business. Focus on their needs and how your business can help them get what they want in life. Don’t talk about yourself on the phone with them. Ask them questions to get to know them and to qualify them for your business. 3-Take Daily Action:
There’s a saying in the network marketing industry that is so true: “Doubt will take you out of action and action will take you out of doubt. You can only enroll people if you connect with them in some way. Set aside time each week to work on your business, making calls, doing presentations. By engaging in conversations with people on a regular basis, you will get more comfortable with the process. The more calls you make, the more comfortable you will get with it and the more success you will have. But you will only have success, if you get into action.
4-Prospect with a Sense of Urgency
When you have a sense of urgency about your business, you will be more attractive to the right people for your business. People like to be part of a movement. They want to be part of something. You are on the move. You are going somewhere with this business, with or without the people you are talking to.
If they don’t want to join, fine. Move on. Find someone else who will. Don’t waste time worrying about the people who say no. The person who may say yes, could be right around the corner, but if you are worrying about why someone said no, or let fear or doubt or worry get in the way, then you may never find the people who will say yes.
You can absolutely squash the self-sabotaging beliefs of fear, doubt and worry by taking the above actions. You have something that can change people’s lives. Act like it.
