How to Invite Prospects for a Home Business Presentation or Home Meeting for Your Network Marketing Business

invite to home meeting network marketingThere are many ways you can invite people to your home for a home business presentation or home meeting for your network marketing business, but the best way is for you to be your authentic self and not sound like you are reading from a script. 

I will provide you with a couple scripts to get you started, but over time your own style and your own wording will emerge.  Just remember, that when you call someone to invite them to a home meeting (or hotel meeting), it is simply that, just the invitation.

It’s not a thesis, nor is it a long speech, nor are you to give someone all the details about what your company is all about.  You are simply going to invite them to learn more about what you are doing and to see if it might be a good fit for them. Get on and off the phone within 1-3 minutes.

One of the key things to remember, is to not be weird about it. If your plans are to invite friends and family over, do not get all nervous about it.  If you are nervous, they are going to wonder what is wrong with you.  Remember, all you are doing is showing them what you are doing, and if they join you then great, but if not, no big deal.

Your success in the network marketing industry is not going to hinge on any one person. And, in order to build a 6-figure income, you will be talking to many, many people, hundreds and hundreds of people over time, so any one single person is not going to make or break your business.

The more casual you are when you invite people over to your home to show your company’s business plan, the better off you will be and the more people will show up.

When you make your calls be quick on the phone. You want to get on and off the phone fast and be in a hurry. You don’t want them asking a bunch of questions, because before you know it, you will have verbal diarrhea of the mouth and you will start spilling more and more about your network marketing business. If you do that, it’s not fair to the other person.  You’ve actually done them a disservice, and they may pre-judge the situation without seeing any information. It could be a perfect fit for them, but they will never know because you prevented them from seeing the whole picture.

Scripts: How to Invite People for Home Business Presentation

“Hey, (NAME), it’s (YOUR NAME). How’s it going? Listen, I only have a second, but I have a question for you. What are you doing (day of the week) at (TIME)?”

Wait for an answer.

“I’m having people over to help me launch my new home business and it would mean a lot to me if you could be here. Can I count on you to help me out?”

“I’m having people over on (DAY OF WEEK) at (TIME) to talk about my home business.  Typically, for every 10 people who show up, only 3 will join the business.  Will you help me out and come over and be one of the 7 who don’t?”

“Hi, (NAME), how’s it going? I only have a minute but wanted to give you a quick call.  Our business is expanding in the area and I’m having some people over on (DAY) at (TIME) to show them what we are doing. It would mean a lot to me to have you here for support. It may or may not be something for you, but when you see what we are up to, it might trigger a few names of people you could refer to me who might be a good fit.  Can I count on your help?”

Most of the time you will get a positive answer and they will not even ask what it is all about.  But, if they do ask you “what is it?” here are a few responses:

“I don’t have enough time right now to give you a decent overview of it, and it would do you a disservice to try to explain it. You just gotta see it. Come on over on _____ at ___  (TIME), and we’ll show you what we’re doing.”

“Listen,  (NAME), I’m new in the company and just getting started and I don’t want to mess up and tell you the wrong thing. Just come on over on (DAY) at (TIME) and you can see the big picture.”

“For me to try to explain it now would be like me trying to give you a haircut over the phone…. (pause for a few seconds)… see? I can’t do it. But come on over on (DAY) at (TIME) and I’ll show you how we’re expanding our business in the area, and if it’s a good fit for you, great. If not, then maybe you’ll think of a couple people you could refer to me to help me out. Fair enough?”

“I wish I could explain it adequately on the phone, but it’s like if you’re a realtor and you try to do an open house tour over the phone. You can’t do it.”

Or you could give your prospect a 5-10 second summary of what your business is about, and follow it up with one of the responses above.   What I say to someone is “I own a string of internet franchises and a product brokerage business, but come on over on (DAY) at (TIME) and I’ll show you how it works. I’ll explain more about how we’re expanding in the area and why there’s so much opportunity for growth. Listen, I gotta run and get on another call right now. We’ll talk more later.”  Then I confirm the time with them.
