Finding the Balance Between Network Marketing and Family

how to balance family and network marketingSo how do you go about finding a workable balance between network marketing and family?  It is no simple task. No doubt, if you have a family and you are building a network marketing business there will be times when you have to sacrifice one for the other.  And it can be very challenging during those times.

You will hear from some leaders how it’s going to take a sacrifice, especially in the beginning, for you to focus on growing your business, and building your team so that you can later reap the rewards of the time freedom and financial freedom for your family. That you make the reason you are doing the business FOR your children.

You will also hear, to not make your kids your excuse for why you can’t build a business, but make them the reason for why you are building it.  And there is some truth to that.

However, it is easy to get caught up in the learning of how to build a network marketing business, because it is much different than the employee mentality or even owning a traditional business.   There are so many different trainings available to people, both online and offline, not to mention home meetings, hotel meetings, in person one on one meetings, etc, that the time can add up very quickly that takes away from your family. And as you start to build your team, more people will be leaning on you for assistance.

And if you are not careful, you might just blink your eyes and your kids are grown and out of the house. And then you missed most of their childhood. I almost let that happen to me, and I hope it doesn’t happen to you.

Make sure you find time to fit your business around your family, not your family around your business.  Maybe make your calls during the time they are at school. Or after they go to bed. Find a business where you won’t have to be out of your home very much at meetings, so that you can be there for your kids.  Because I can tell you, with complete certainty that you CAN build a business from home without having to do home parties or hotel meetings.  Home meetings are great for some people, but not for others.  You can grow a successful network marketing business  with or without them. You have to decide what is right for you and your family.

You only get ONE chance to parent your children. Make sure you are living a life without regret.

Hi Sarah, it is good to no that there are other partners that feel the same way. My family will always come first. And yes you can find a balance and I too had to step back and just slow down a bit. And if it takes me a few more years, I am not worried. I love this video. Thank you

This is very true Sarah. We have to learn to appreciate every season of life, especially entrepreneurial moms. We have that drive in us to go for our dreams and pursuits and can lose sight of the things that matter most. This happens to men a lot as well. I’m glad I’m a part of your team and that our team focus is on helping other families build a business while keeping their priorities in order!
