1 Daily Habit to Change Your Network Marketing Success

network marketing success daily habitDo you know the ONE habit that can change your network marketing success more than anything?  Of course, there are many habits of successful network marketers, but if there is one habit you certainly want to master and that is prospecting.  Talking to people everyday about your business. 

Think about what your goals are with your home business; are you looking to earn a few hundred bucks a month? $10,000/mo? Maybe you want to stay home full-time with your kids? Whatever your goals are, do something, SOMETHING, everyday to bring you closer to your goals. 

Are your daily habits in line with your goals? The one habit that can have the greatest impact on your network marketing success is the one habit most people shy away from, and that is prospecting.

People waste time on activities that won’t earn them income, and they do this for various reasons, with procrastination being one of the biggest ones. But the single most important income producing activity you can do is talk to people about your business. 

Get in the habit of talking to people every single day. And where do you find people? People are everywhere, and you are certainly not limited to friends and family. You can meet people out and about with “Lifestyle Prospecting,” or in networking groups, social media, (like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other social platforms), and through many other methods.

How do you chop down a giant tree?  One whack at a time.

How do you become a “Master Prospector”? One prospect at a time. Practice. The more people you talk to, the better you will get at prospecting.  You may be a little shaky or nervous as you start, but don’t worry about it. Just get out there and do it. Top industry leaders weren’t always top recruiters. How did they get there?

I remember hearing from one of the top recruiters in the industry, Todd Falcone, talk about his start with prospecting. He was sweating so much he had to keep a rag on his desk while he made is phone calls. He called leads, he called warm market, cold market and became a master at recruiting professionals.  He is now a highly sought out public speaker on the topic, but where did he start? Sweating bullets with a rag on his desk to collect the drops of sweat from his forehead because he was so nervous.  He has a best-selling course on the topic of recruiting professionals that I’d highly recommend.

I remember when I first started calling professionals by doing an online search using the Recruiting Professionals course by Todd Falcone, and I was so nervous. I had a list of 50 realtors I was going to call, and I remember looking at that list, shaking my head, with my heart racing, but KNOWING I had to get through the first 50 people to gain some confidence, and I said out loud to myself, “boy, I feel sorry for you people!” I KNEW I was going to mess up on some of those calls, but I also knew I had to get through it to get better.

You can do that too. Whether it’s calling professionals, calling business cards you pick up around town, calling a neighbor or friend, or calling leads. You maybe nervous at first, but the more you do it, the better you will get.

Practice. Practice. Practice.

Think of your end goal in mind, and what you are looking to achieve with your network marketing business. Then think about the activities you need to do in order to achieve those results. It begins with prospecting.  The more people you call, the better you get.

It takes a consistent daily effort.  Make it a habit to talk to 1-2 people (or more), every single day about your network marketing business.  Find a list of 50 people to call, and just charge right through them.  The sooner you do it, the sooner you will gain confidence, and the better you will get.   I used to hate prospecting, but now I love it.

Know that you are making a difference in people’s lives when you call them.  Help them discover their needs and how your business can help them do that. Keep the spotlight on your prospects when talking to them. It’s not about you. It’s about them.
