Why Should Your Prospects Even Listen to You? MLM Tips

No matter how excited you are about your company’s products or services, the truth is, your prospect may not be interested at all. BUT…if you act as their advocate, not a salesperson, your results will likely change for the better. Here are some MLM Tips for you.

When you are prospecting for your MLM or network marketing business, it’s important to find out what’s going on in your prospects’ lives right now with work, family, time commitments, etc. Dig deep. Find out what really matters to them. Is it a working mom who’d rather be home full-time with her kids? A person working in a corporate position 60-hours/week with a 1-hour commute each way? Or maybe someone working 2-3 jobs just to make ends meet? Or perhaps something else? Their reason for listening could be completely different from your reason for wanting to share your opportunity and it’s important for you to come to them with information that will help them and that they are looking for.

Put yourself in their shoes and note where they are coming from, before you share your business with them. Watch the video for a few examples of what I mean.

 

So the best way to connect with your prospect is to find out what their pain is. Find out where they might be struggling in life so that you can show them how your business might be a solution to their pain. While you think you have a really cool shake or juice or service, your prospect might just be trying to figure out how to make ends meet.

You also have to show your prospects that you are the one who can help them with a solution to their pain; that you are the leader who can help them achieve their goals. You’ve got to have a strong posture and confidence that lets your prospect know that you know where you are going, that you are looking for the right people to partner up with you. When you have that conviction that you know where you are going and that you are determined to get there, your prospects will want to know more about what you are doing.
