At parties you are surrounded by a whole bunch of people who might be great additions to your home business, so it may seem quite logical to talk to them about your opportunity.
So how do you talk to people about your business? How do you bring it up in conversation at parties?
The big answer = you DON’T.
People go to parties to relax and have fun. They don’t want to be approached about the next big deal or “opportunity” no matter how good you think it is or how much you think they need it.

A faster way to grow your business is to simply go to the party, talk to people about life, get to know them and have fun, and then follow up with them a few days later. The best and most successful network marketers are those who connect really well with people, and they keep the conversation low key.
Think of the party as a time for gathering data. Not a time to build your business. Go there, socialize, have fun. Get to know people. Don’t look at them as prospects, but as people you want to get to know better. Ask lots of questions and see if you can uncover any needs they might have (like more money, more free time, or your products/services). The party is the time to find the needs and learn about people. But the time to talk about your network marketing business is a couple to a few days after the party.
