Challenges and Obstacles: Don’t Give Up! Look for the Lesson!
We will all have challenges and obstacles as we build a home business that at times will make us want to give up. We all have excuses for why we cannot move forward in life. And every single one of us will face challenges along the way. The question is, how are you going to handle it? I can guarantee you, as soon as you commit to achieving a goal, there will be roadblocks thrown up in your way; they could be related to your health, family, friends, business or the particular goal itself. Those obstacles will help to shape you, define you and refine you into being the person you were called to be.
Sometimes when we are in the midst of a challenge in life, or business, or relationships, it might seem easiest to just give up. And it probably is the easiest thing to do, but probably not the best thing for you. Many of you who follow me on my blog are home business owners and you are trying to make it work with your business, but you come across obstacles.
The obstacle could be that no matter who you talk to, no one is joining your business. Or maybe you feel you don’t have enough people to talk to and you believe you’ve reached a stopping point. Or, like most people, you believe you don’t have enough time to get the things done that you want to. Maybe you have a health issue or family issue that is holding you back.
Whatever it is, it’s something, and it’s keeping you from moving forward and hitting your goals. If you let it stall you today you may think, “no big deal. It’s only one day.” But if you are not careful, the one day turns into 2, which turns into a week, which turns into a month, and so on. Then all of a sudden, it’s a year later and you haven’t gotten anywhere close to where you want to be.
But if your goal is important enough to you, your reason “why” you started a home business to begin with, then it’s important that you find a “way” to make it work. You may find that you continually run into walls as you strive towards your goals. If you are a person of faith, then pray and ask God for direction for you. It could be that He’s directing you towards a different path in order to achieve your goal.
We don’t always know why we face challenges in life, but there is always a reason and there is always a lesson in it. As you are going through challenges, it’s important to look for the lesson in it. Instead of asking, “why me?” ask the question “what can I learn from this experience? What is God trying to teach me here?”
Don’t look at the obstacles as a bad thing at all. In the big picture of your whole entire life, the obstacle you are facing right now is probably there to teach you something. Look for the lesson.
